Patty Garcia, Wellington town administrator, presented the Wellington Main Street third‑quarter report during the Oct. 28 Board of Trustees meeting, saying volunteers logged roughly 1,300 hours and the Main Street market attracted about 50 vendors.
Garcia outlined current initiatives across visibility and community engagement, supporting local businesses, and long‑term planning. She told the board the program developed a Shop Local loyalty and incentives campaign set to launch near the holidays and that Main Street received funding from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs for the second phase of 3‑D renderings to help residents visualize the Cleveland Avenue project.
Trustees praised the volunteer effort. Trustee Kent told Garcia he was “extremely proud of everything that they’re doing.” Trustee Daley said the program had ‘‘really upped their game’’ and noted a specific loyalty‑program idea she expects to raise downtown shopping frequency. Garcia said upcoming work includes a Roll and Stroll downtown accessibility assessment scheduled for Nov. 13, an annual Main Street dinner Nov. 20 with a Cleveland Avenue presentation by staff, recruitment of new board and committee members, a draft public‑art and mural program, and finalization of a 2026 budget and work plan for board approval.
Garcia said staff and the Main Street coordinator will continue outreach and that staff will bring answers back to the full board if they cannot respond immediately to questions. No formal board action was required on the report.
