The Harpers Ferry Town Council voted Oct. 29 to enter executive session under West Virginia Code 6-9A-4 to discuss matters related to appointment, retirement, promotion, transfer, discipline, resignation, discharge or compensation of a public official or employee. The motion to enter executive session carried 5-0.

At the conclusion of the closed session the council announced it had returned to open session at 5:00 p.m. and immediately adjourned the special meeting by unanimous vote. No action details or personnel determinations were disclosed during the public meeting.
