The San Francisco Board of Supervisors Rules Committee on Feb. 10 voted unanimously to continue consideration of an ordinance to update the city's conflict-of-interest code and Form 700 filing requirements.
The measure, described by staff as an ordinance to "update the conflict of interest code, Form 700 filing requirements by adding, deleting, and changing titles of certain designated officials and employees" was called by Chair Supervisor Walton for committee consideration and then continued "to the call of the chair," after President Mandelmann said more "meet and confer" work was needed.
President Mandelmann said she wanted additional bargaining and refinement before the committee moved forward: "Well, it turns out there's a little more meet and confer work to do on this item and so I'm gonna request that we continue this to the call of the chair." The committee then voted without objection to continue the item.
No public speakers addressed the ordinance during the committee hearing. Clerk Victor Young reminded the public that materials submitted by email or U.S. mail will be included in the official file and that items acted on by rules are expected to appear on the Board of Supervisors agenda of 02/25/2025 unless otherwise stated.
The committee did not take further action on the substance of the ordinance at this meeting; the item will be returned for later consideration once additional meet-and-confer work is complete.
