The Rules Committee on Feb. 10 voted to forward Supervisor Jackie Fielder's appointment to the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) to the full Board of Supervisors as a committee report.

Clerk Victor Young introduced the item as a motion to appoint Supervisor Jackie Fielder to the Local Agency Formation Commission for a term ending Feb. 4, 2027, or at the conclusion of her Board term, whichever comes first. No members of the public spoke on the item and committee members had no questions; the committee voted to send the matter to the full Board with a recommendation as a committee report.

The committee's action was procedural; no substantive debate about LAFCO authorities or upcoming LAFCO matters occurred at the hearing.
