At a regularly scheduled meeting, the San Patricio County Commissioners Court approved a slate of routine financial, personnel and contractual actions.

The court approved payment of claims against the county, accepted the treasurer’s January 2025 monthly investment report and reconciliations, and approved budget-line item transfers noted on the agenda. County Treasurer Gracie Garcia presented the financial figures and asked the court to record the January general fund payroll and the adult probation bank reconciliations.

On the consent agenda the court accepted and recorded the County Clerk’s monthly report for the month ending Jan. 31, 2025; accepted the Tax Assessor-Collector’s monthly statement of collections for the month ending Jan. 31, 2025; and approved an airport hangar lease at Ingleside Regional McCampbell Porter Airport between San Patricio County and Clayton Saunders effective Jan. 1, 2025.

The court reappointed Gary Moore Sr. to the San Patricio County Drainage District board of directors for a two-year term through Feb. 14, 2027, as the representative for Precinct 2.

Commissioners approved the purchase of a 2025 Peterbilt model (14-by-16-yard) dump truck, procured through BuyBoard and verified by the Auditor’s Office, at a price of $185,900.30.

Personnel actions approved included: a resignation (Maria Hutchins, Deputy Clerk 3, County Clerk, effective Feb. 28, 2025) and six hires or employment actions for county positions (several Road & Bridge crewmen and county clerk deputies) effective Feb. 18, 2025; salary committee recommendations and step placements were recorded on the docket.

The court approved the consent and individual action items by voice votes and adjourned at 9:14 a.m.
