The Anna Community Development Corporation (CDC) and Anna Economic Development Corporation (EDC) at a joint meeting on Jan. 2 approved prior meeting minutes, elected officers for 2025, adopted amendments to both corporations' bylaws and agreed to reschedule the February meeting.

The board approved the minutes for the Dec. 5, 2024 joint CDC/EDC meeting and the Dec. 25, 2024 CDC/EDC meetings by voice vote. The board then accepted nominations and elected Bruce Norwood as board president, Manny Singh as vice president and Dwight as board secretary for 2025.

The board voted to adopt Resolution 2025-01-1, amending the CDC bylaws to update the corporate address and to designate the executive director as the registered agent so the corporation would not need to re-register a named individual annually. The board also adopted Resolution 2025-01-2 to make the same changes to the EDC bylaws.

Finally, the board approved a motion to cancel the February 6, 2025 joint CDC/EDC meeting and to hold the February meeting on Feb. 13, 2025, at 6 p.m. in council chambers at the municipal complex at 120 West 7th Street.

Votes and formal actions taken were all recorded as voice votes during the meeting; the board did not record roll-call tallies in the public transcript. The meeting recessed into closed session under the Texas Government Code and returned to open session before adjournment.
