Committee recommends Jared Loiban to Economic Development Authority board

The Finance and Economic Development Standing Committee voted to recommend Jared Loiban to fill one vacancy on the board of directors for the Richmond Economic Development Authority.

The committee discussed the pool of applicants and recommended Jared Loiban after reviewing background and experience. The recommendation will be forwarded to the full City Council for final appointment.

Pamela Nichols, council management analyst, told the committee the vacancy was continued from an October meeting while additional applications were sought and listed the applicants received. Michelle Brown Peters and others spoke later on unrelated agenda items.

Vice Chair Jones made the motion to forward the board recommendation; Chair Robertson seconded. The committee recorded Vice Chair Jones and Chair Robertson voting aye. The committee clerk confirmed the motion was approved and the recommendation will proceed to council.
