The Upland City Council on Monday recessed into closed session to discuss a real-property negotiation listed on the agenda and returned with no reportable action, the city attorney said.

Early in the meeting the council approved a motion to excuse Council Member Garcia, who was ill; the motion passed unanimously. The council then approved the consent calendar, which covered items 10A through 10K on the agenda, and moved on to committee reports and council communications.
