The Upland City Council on Monday recessed into closed session to discuss a real-property negotiation listed on the agenda and returned with no reportable action, the city attorney said.
Early in the meeting the council approved a motion to excuse Council Member Garcia, who was ill; the motion passed unanimously. The council then approved the consent calendar, which covered items 10A through 10K on the agenda, and moved on to committee reports and council communications.
During public comment a field representative for Congresswoman Norma Torres announced $850,000 in community project funding for the downtown Metrolink Station Revitalization Project; a community member, Gary Shwory, spoke in support of his nomination to the Council Advisory Committee.
The council concluded the meeting with an adjournment in memory of retired Police Captain John J. P. Cannon and records specialist Theodora (Theo) Casarone and set the next regular meeting for Monday, Jan. 27.
