City Manager Rob told the Bellbrook City Council on Dec. 27 that staff is preparing a Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) modification for the council’s consideration and that the housing study conducted by Miss Grant has been posted for public review.

Rob said the city's audit work has begun and that staff is reviewing updates to uniform guidance for federal single audits and capital‑asset policies; the revised policies will come to council for approval. He also reported ongoing personnel activity in public safety, noting a new police hire and continued recruitment for fire department vacancies.

In committee reports, Councilman Hope (safety committee) said the new medic unit will arrive Wednesday and that the council expects to swear in a new officer at the next council meeting. Councilman Greenwood (service committee) reminded residents to report potholes so the service department can address them once thawing occurs. Community Affairs reported continuing openings on the Board of Zoning Appeals, Museum Board and the Volunteer Review Board and encouraged residents to consider applying.

Councilman Hoag (as listed in the meeting record) reminded attendees that a community leaders meeting will be held Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. at the Bellbrook Middle School cafeteria; the meeting will include city, township parks and school representatives.

No formal votes were taken on the items discussed in the city manager report or the committee updates. Rob said the CRA modification presentation is expected at a subsequent meeting, and council members asked for the packet materials to remain available for review.
