The Brownsburg Advisory Planning Commission on Jan. 27 elected new officers for 2025, approved the Dec. 18 meeting minutes and findings of fact for two land-use items, amended its agenda, and voted to continue a development plan because the applicant was not present.

Elections and appointments: Commissioners nominated and approved Brett Scouten as president for 2025. Richard Miller was elected vice president after commissioners cast individual votes. Paolo Ronnie was approved as recording secretary. The commission also appointed Brett Scouten as a member to the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) for 2025.

Approvals and agenda changes: The commission approved the Dec. 18, 2024 meeting minutes. Commissioners approved findings of fact and reports of determination for PCMA-24-9 (235 North Adams Street zone map amendment) and PCPP-24-5 (Kids Count Lot 1 primary plat) together. The commission voted to amend the agenda earlier in the meeting to move communications and administrative filings ahead of the development plan item.

Development plan continuation: The commission opened PSDP-24-9 (Kids Count Development Plan) at 6:25 p.m., noted the applicant was not present and voted to continue the item to the Feb. 24 meeting at 6 p.m. in the same room.
