The Denton Public Utilities Board on Feb. 10 approved a consent agenda item (PUB 25006) to authorize moving a power line underground. The motion carried unanimously.

Paul Oppine of DME Engineering asked whether the aerial line shown in the materials served any customers in Denton’s electric service territory or whether it was solely for pumps at Lake Lewisville. Staff confirmed the line serves only the pumps and is not in Denton’s electric territory. Board members also asked whether the City of Corinth is funding the work; staff confirmed Corinth is paying for the undergrounding in the area discussed.

The board approved the consent item after a brief question-and-answer exchange and a motion to approve the consent agenda item.
