The Caroline County Board of License Commissioners on Feb. 26 unanimously approved a request to extend the compliance deadline for Nazareth at 501 Maryland Avenue.

The applicant, representing 501 Maryland Avenue LLC, told the board the renovation schedule had been delayed by freezing weather in early January and by required gas-service and inspection work. The applicant asked the board to extend the deadline for completing occupancy and other required items to May 30; a motion on the floor set the compliance date as May 31, 2025.

Alcoholic beverage inspector Trey (title recorded as Alcoholic Beverage Inspector) summarized that required inspections and gas service work remained outstanding. Board members discussed and then moved to grant a roughly 90-day extension.

A motion to accept the extension was made, seconded and carried by voice vote. The board recorded the action as an approval of a 90-day extension for Nazareth at 501 Maryland Avenue.

The extension formally postpones enforcement of the outstanding license conditions until May 31, 2025; the applicant remains responsible for completing all items required by county rules and any state requirements before resale or full operation.
