The City Commission of Margate on March 19 approved appointments to the Board of Adjustment and to the Planning and Zoning Board for terms commencing March 19, 2025, through March 18, 2026.

For the Board of Adjustment the commission approved Lisa Lalji, Mohammad Suleiman, Bradley (Bradley Irvine/Uribe on the record) Uribe, Candy Harris and Barbara Farris. The motion to approve the slate was moved and seconded on the record; roll call votes were recorded as unanimous with Mayor Schwartz and all commissioners voting yes.

For the Planning and Zoning Board the commission approved Shikina Major, Joseph Brando, Joseph Eppi, Elsa Sanchez and Peter Roberts for the same one‑year term. That slate also passed on a unanimous roll call vote.

The resolutions were introduced on the consent/appointments portion of the agenda. City staff read the lists of nominees into the record before the commission voted. No public comments opposed the appointments during the roll calls; the mayor called the votes after a motion and second.

The terms begin March 19, 2025, and run through March 18, 2026. Commissioners noted some applicants requested different board placements than they previously held; the commission accommodated those requests in the nominations and approvals.

The votes were recorded in the minutes by roll call and showed all present commissioners voting yes on both resolutions.
