Williamson County Commissioners Court on April 8 approved routine minutes, accepted the county auditor’s funding report and cleared a slate of consent and regular agenda items by unanimous votes.
The court approved minutes of recent meetings by a 4–0 vote after a motion by Commissioner Cook and a second by Commissioner Bowles. Nathan Zinspire of the Williamson County Auditor’s Office presented the funding report and requested approval of a submitted electronic funding report totaling $9,304,321.64 plus an addendum that included $527,155.83 in wires and other payments; the court approved the funding report by a 4–0 vote.
On consent the court moved most items forward while pulling item 12 and shifting item 15 from consent to the regular agenda for discussion. The court later discussed item 3, a request to transfer line-item funds for specific training, and approved it after a short explanation that more backup detail was needed for public transparency. Commissioners emphasized the need for clearer backup and rationale for transfers when staff requests training funds.
On the regular agenda the court approved items 36 and 37 by unanimous vote. The court also approved a lease for Representative Wilson’s office space that runs through December 2026; members noted the contract includes a 30-day cancellation clause and discussed that space in the current building will be vacated when county moves to a new building. The lease passed with a 4–0 vote after commissioners confirmed the representative was aware of the potential for relocation.
The court moved into executive session at 10:09 a.m. to discuss matters including real estate, attorney consultation and personnel and reconvened at 11:00 a.m., at which time the court reported no action was needed. The meeting adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
