The Revere License Commission on April 16 approved the transfer of an all‑alcohol restaurant license for Rice Passions to be exercised at 163 Squire Road, Unit 2.

Commissioners said all operations will remain the same under new ownership tied to the owners of nearby Carepa. Christian Sirian, a consultant for the applicant, told the commission the new owners intend to keep the same concept, menu, employees and layout. The approved hours are Sunday noon to 9:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; approved seating is 50. The commission also approved on‑premises entertainment limited to widescreen cable television and radio.

The application was a continued matter from March. After no speakers opposed the transfer, a commissioner moved and a second carried the motion to approve the license transfer. The commission recorded no additional operational changes.

The commission closed the item after approval and wished the applicant luck.
