Commission approves manager change at Staybridge Suites Holiday Inn Express in Revere

The Revere License Commission approved a change of manager for the Staybridge Suites Holiday Inn Express at a meeting April 16.

John Aida McDermott introduced Cynthia Basic as the hotel’s proposed manager of record and said she has more than 25 years of experience in hospitality, including front‑office and food and beverage oversight. McDermott told the commission Basic and relevant staff are TIP certified and familiar with state and local alcohol service regulations; ownership and on‑site operations will not change.

A commissioner noted an incorrect phone number on the application and the applicant said it would be corrected with city staff. After no opposition, the commission moved and seconded to approve the manager change; the motion carried.

The commission closed the item following approval.
