During the public comment period, Edna Cavazos of 10577 County Road 2349 in the St. Paul area told the court she is concerned that newly improved roads in her precinct are being driven like racetracks and that drivers are ignoring stop and yield signs.

"We do have new roads, which is a great thing, but they're now becoming racetracks," Cavazos said. She asked the court to consider speed bumps or similar measures and to add signage such as "Children at Play." Cavazos told the court there had been a recent serious crash on a main road where rescuers used the jaws of life and a person was flown out by helicopter.

Commissioner Gonzales had earlier said there is a budget for signs; Cavazos said she did not know that but wanted the need documented. The judge and commissioners did not take immediate action at the meeting but heard the request during the citizens-to-be-heard portion of the agenda.

Ending: Cavazos' comments were entered into the meeting record under citizens to be heard; no formal direction or vote to install traffic‑calming measures was recorded during the session.
