Highway Superintendent Theresa told the board she had requested a specific International/Navistar model through a local dealer (Allegiance) and provided manufacturer price documentation showing discounts; staff reported lead times of six to nine months for the vehicle and said the town may be able to piggyback on existing state or county procurement contracts if the vendor is a contract holder.

Board members said they were comfortable with the proposed financing approach but asked staff to verify whether the dealer's quote would legally allow piggybacking on the state or county contract; the board agreed to revisit the item at its May 28 meeting after staff confirms contract status. No formal vote or purchase authorization was taken at the May 13 meeting.
