The Education Transformation and Finance Committee voted to adjourn to executive session to discuss FY 2027 confidential budget estimates and requests.

Chair Crawford read a statement citing the legal basis for the closed meeting: “Pursuant to section 3 0 5 b 13 of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the Education, Transformation, and Finance Committee will adjourn to executive session to discuss ... FY 2027 confidential budget estimates and requests.”

The chair then called for a vote. Committee members responded “Aye”; the chair recorded a unanimous vote and the committee adjourned to executive session. The meeting recording and minutes list no individual roll‑call tally in the public transcript.

The committee indicated it expected to adjourn from executive session at about 5:30 p.m. and the livestream was turned off prior to the executive session.
