Coconut Creek will hold a free Arbor Day tree giveaway on Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m. to noon at City Hall, 4800 West Copans Road, city officials announced. The event is open only to Coconut Creek residents; proof of residency will be required. Organizers said the annual giveaway has run for 25 years and has helped plant thousands of trees in the community. The city invited families to attend for giveaways, entertainment and environmental information, and said a list of available tree species is posted at coconutcreek.net/arborday.
