Scooter's Coffee celebrated the opening of a distribution center in Whitestown, Indiana, where company leaders said the facility will serve franchise locations across Indiana, Illinois and Ohio and supply nearby towns such as Whitestown, Fortville and Jasper.
A company representative described the center as a logistics hub that consolidates the chain’s trucks, drivers, bakery and coffee-roasting operations for the regional market. “We actually support our franchisees beyond just the branding and menu. We actually distribute the product to our franchisees. So we have our own trucks, we have our own drivers, we have our own bakery, coffee roasting, and this distribution center is where this all comes together for this market and goes out to our stores,” the representative said.
The company said it has expanded eastward in recent years and is planning further growth in the region. “We’ve recently expanded eastward. We’ve been in the Indiana, Illinois, Ohio area, in the last few years, and we’re just have a lot of tremendous growth, planned for these areas and and really serving towns like Whitestown, Fortville, Jasper, those kind of communities that we wanna support in the Indiana market,” the representative said. The speaker also cited proximity to a Chicago logistics lane as a factor in siting the facility.
Whitestown officials welcomed the investment. “It’s a great day in Whitestown. We’re honored to welcome Scooter’s to our community. This facility isn’t just a building. It’s a reflection of growth and opportunity. We’re proud of Scooter’s for investing in our community,” a town official said. At the close of remarks, the official added, “We look forward to the partnership. And like we like to say, welcome to Whitestown, Scooter’s. We’re glad you’re here.”
The remarks did not specify the number of jobs created, the size of the investment, or the exact opening date beyond the ceremony. Those details were not provided during the event.
