Selectboard welcomes new code enforcement officer Chris Levy

Chris Levy addressed the board after being introduced as the town’s new code enforcement officer. Levy said he retired from federal government work in the Washington, D.C. area and moved to the region to follow family. He described growing up around building trades and said he is familiar with the International Building Code (IBC) and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Levy thanked the board for the vote of confidence and said he looks forward to working with contractors and the community.

The selectboard members welcomed Levy; one asked about his qualifications and prior experience, and Levy responded that he had prior code-enforcement experience in another state and has practical construction knowledge.
