The Terrell Planning and Zoning Commission on Dec. 19 accepted public improvements for Creekside Development Phase 5 (98 residential lots) and Phase 6, concluding staff’s inspection and signaling the city will assume ownership of installed infrastructure.
City staff member Aaron Schnepp presented the item and said he oversaw construction and inspection of the improvements. Schnepp described the acceptance as "the final acceptance of the improvements," and listed elements the city will own once acceptance is complete: stormwater controls, water and sewer mains, drainage, streets, concrete curbs and sidewalks. Schnepp said staff prepared and closed a punch list before bringing the item to the commission.
Commissioners moved and seconded a motion to approve acceptance of public improvements for Creekside Development Phase 5 and Phase 6. The commission approved the motion on a voice vote; the chair announced the motion carries. Staff noted the photographs in the packet and said the developer completed pads and streets to city standards.
Acceptance transfers responsibility for the listed public infrastructure to the City of Terrell and begins the city’s standard maintenance and warranty periods under applicable development agreements and city codes.
