The Wasilla City Council took several formal votes at its regular meeting on Jan. 13, 2025.

What the council approved
- Consent agenda (approved): Included approval of meeting minutes (Nov. 25 and Dec. 3 regular minutes; Dec. 4 special meeting minutes) and the introduction with a public hearing date for Ordinance Serial Number 25-02 (Wasilla Municipal Code Chapter 355 amendment). The consent agenda also included Action Memorandum AM 2501: a contract award to Anchorage Tank in the amount of $46,965 for a 5,000-gallon fuel tank for the Wasilla Police Department.

- Ordinance 25-1 (adopted): The council adopted Ordinance 25-1 to accept and appropriate $19,109.84 for the Wasilla Museum (see separate article for details).

Several airport purchase resolutions were also adopted; those are covered in a separate article summarizing the council’s authorization to acquire parcels and reallocate airport funds to support runway expansion.

How votes were taken: The consent agenda was moved by Council Member Crafton, seconded by Council Member Graham and approved with no objections. Ordinance 25-1 was moved by Council Member Johnson, seconded by Council Member Velock and adopted after public hearing with no public testimony. The contract award to Anchorage Tank was included in the consent agenda and approved as part of that vote.

No roll-call tallies with individual yes/no votes were recorded for the consent agenda items in the transcript; for items where council members raised formal motions the record shows unanimous approval with “hearing none, the motion is adopted.”
