The Quincy Planning Board approved a six-month extension Jan. 15 on the two-year time limit for the permit approval for 1562–1570 Hancock Street. The planning department recommended the extension, noting substantial progress in the last six months and receipt of modified plan submissions at the end of December.

Planning staff said the extension would be the final six-month extension for the project and that department review of the new plans was underway. The extension was moved by Member Liuzza and seconded by Member Kelly; the motion passed unanimously.

The department advised the board that the current extension expires Feb. 4 and that the additional six months would provide staff time to complete review before the proponent must reapply or proceed to the next steps in the permitting process.
