Eagle Adventure Camp scheduled for June–July; organizers to use school facilities and return fees to school

The Sunbury City Events and Commemorations Committee reviewed the Eagle Adventure Camp schedule for summer 2025 and noted operational arrangements with local schools.

Amber (staff member) told the committee the camp is in its third year and will operate Monday–Friday with two sessions: June 2–27 and July 7–18. Staff said the camp uses school facilities for parent drop‑off and pick‑up and that, in past years, the school has provided restroom access for campers; Amber said most fees collected by the program are returned to the school.

A parent attending the meeting noted the camp provides a short pickup window and that families quickly learn drop‑off routines after the first day. Amber said the program offers an early‑morning pickup option for an additional fee and that staff had not received complaints about traffic or parking during prior years.

Committee members confirmed that the camp’s schedule and use of school facilities does not require City Council action and that the committee’s role is to approve event permits and ensure safety coordination. The committee did not discuss changes to fees or to the school partnership; staff said they will continue to monitor pickup patterns and traffic as the camp approaches.
