Alcohol board approves Bomb Buffet trade name change to Hibachi and Grill Buffet

The Alcohol Beverage Board of St. Mary's County approved an administrative request on Oct. 10, 2013, to change the trade name of Bomb Buffet to Hibachi and Grill Buffet. The board treated the item as routine and voted to approve the trade-name change without public protest.

Board members offered the approval as an administrative motion and Member Betty Curry seconded the action; the chair called the voice vote and the motion carried unanimously. The board inspector said the establishment is located in the Lexington Park area near retail and lodging nodes discussed during the meeting.

The board did not record additional conditions tied to the trade-name change; staff indicated the change is administrative and requires routine office processing.
