Todd County commissioners sworn in; Bob Byers selected board chair, Tim Denny vice chair

Margaret Becker, Bob Byers and Randy Newman took the oath of office at the opening of the Todd County Board of Commissioners meeting, swearing to support the U.S. and Minnesota constitutions and to faithfully discharge duties of their county offices.

The board then elected Commissioner Bob Byers as chair for 2025. Commissioner Tim Denny was elected vice chair. Nominations and seconds were made from the dais and the motions carried by voice vote.

The oaths and leadership elections were procedural items at the start of the meeting. Commissioners who spoke during the organization portion welcomed the newly confirmed leadership and moved on to routine agenda business.

The board scheduled its next regular meetings and committee work under the newly established leadership during the same session.
