The Wyoming House on third reading approved a $750,000 supplemental amendment for the Department of Administration & Information’s Division of Construction to complete a required strategic facility plan.
Representative Larson Lloyd said the appropriation corrects a missed item from earlier legislation (House Bill 86) and reimburses the department for a $750,000 strategic facility planning requirement that was omitted from the original House budget. “It was missed. The director brought it to my attention,” Larson Lloyd said, asking colleagues to adopt the technical correction on the budget bill.
Appropriations leadership framed the amendment as a technical necessity. Representative Baer asked colleagues to support the correction so the department could proceed with comprehensive systems and monitoring for capital construction and assets.
The House approved third‑reading Amendment 12 to House Bill 1 by roll call; the amendment passed 38 ayes, 21 noes (3 excused). The appropriation is a one‑time addition to pay for strategic facility planning and related capital asset monitoring.
Speakers who discussed the amendment included Representative Larson Lloyd (mover) and Representative Baer (appropriations lead).
