The Town of Braintree Planning Board voted Feb. 11 to grant as-built approval for planning file 1507429, covering work at 445 Quincy Ave, the Quirk Hyundai site, and to release a $5,000 as-built surety held for the project.

Assistant Director Connor Murphy told the board the planning board last voted on the Quirk modification on June 14, 2022 and that the site — which includes a new Quirk Hyundai dealership and a relocated used-car operation — is complete and “up and running now.” Murphy said staff had worked with Quirk representatives and the town’s civil engineer as the project finished and recommended approval “with the surviving conditions as noted in the staff report with release of the $5,000 as built surety.”

Member Jennifer Connolly moved to grant as-built approval and release the surety; the motion was seconded by Member Makami. The board voiced assent and the motion carried with the meeting record indicating all present members voted “Aye.”

No additional public comment was recorded on the item. The staff report prepared for the meeting remains the administrative record for remaining conditions and technical details.
