Pleasanton Civic Arts Commission approves November minutes and elects Commissioner Song as 2025 chair

The Pleasanton Civic Arts Commission on Jan. 20 approved the minutes from its Nov. 2024 meeting and selected Commissioner Song as the commission chairperson for the 2025 calendar year.

The commission approved the November minutes by roll call; the minutes motion and second were made on the record but the transcript did not identify who moved or seconded. The minutes approval passed with seven votes in favor and one abstention from a member who was not present for the November meeting.

Commissioners then opened nominations for the 2025 chairperson. Commissioner Song was nominated and accepted the nomination. After a second, the commission voted unanimously to elect Commissioner Song as chairperson for 2025. The newly elected chair took over conducting the remainder of the meeting.

Both actions were procedural and did not direct staff to take follow-up policy steps beyond the normal administrative recordkeeping and leadership transition.
