The planning board's administrative update section covered several items of note to staff and the public.
MBTA compliance: Nancy read a letter from the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) confirming Lakeville is in interim compliance with the MBTA Communities Law (G.L. c. 40A, §3A). The letter notes interim compliance makes Lakeville eligible for several discretionary grant programs, including the Housing Choice Initiative and MassWorks, and that full compliance will make the town eligible for an additional MBTA Communities Catalyst Fund announced in 2024. Board members asked staff to follow up to clarify grant details and timing.
Pinecrest Village complaint: Planning staff reported receipt of complaints and photos showing extensive land clearing. A site visit determined silt fence and rumble strip needed installation; the contractor installed the silt fence within a day or two and conservation staff inspected and approved it. The contractor committed to installing the rumble strip; staff will re‑inspect when installed.
Other administrative items: The board noted Red Hand Brewing condition amendments had been signed following a previous vote to amend conditions and that the planning office will continue to monitor compliance. The board also approved meeting minutes for Dec. 12, 2024, and set the next meeting for Feb. 27 at the police station.
