During the Feb. 14 executive session the Senate State Government, Tribal Affairs and Elections Committee reported several gubernatorial appointments with recommendations that they be confirmed. Committee action took place in executive session and consisted of motions to report each appointment with a recommendation for confirmation; the chair ruled each confirmation recommendation subject to signatures.

Appointments reported with confirmation recommendations included James Oswald (gubernatorial appointment 09/2007), Allison Holub (9143), Yolanda King Lowe (9144), Malia Mullen (9145) and Christina Cobdish (9163). The transcript indicates voice votes for each confirmation recommendation; in one instance a single "nay" was recorded aloud during the roll call for appointment 9144, but the chair nevertheless ruled that appointment as receiving a confirmation recommendation subject to signatures.

The committee did not record roll-call tallies in the public transcript; the record shows each appointment was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote with the chair signing the required committee forms.
