Senator Denhartaug (presenting by unanimous consent) asked the committee to print RS 32352, a request statement that will continue conversation on a statutory definition of “flow” related to solid waste and local government taxation. The sponsor said the measure will require additional meetings with solid waste disposal providers and many counties.

Senator Harris moved, and Senator Taves seconded, that RS 32352 be sent to print; the committee voice-voted in favor and the motion carried. Committee members who also sit on the Local Government and Taxation Committee were identified as potential participants in upcoming stakeholder discussions.

The printing request does not change law but authorizes drafting and circulation of the proposed language for further consideration and stakeholder meetings later in the session.
