City staff provided a brief update that Well 7 — recently installed or rehabilitated as an emergency measure — was test pumping and undergoing water-quality sampling.
Public Works staff (Joe Baloma) said the contractor stayed within budget but had a slight delay for operational testing because staff delayed leaving a cleaning product in the well over a weekend. “We're test pumping, today, tomorrow morning, and we're gonna grab a water quality sample to get to the lab. There's about a 24 hour turnaround time on that sample, so we should be up and operational on Thursday,” the presenter said.
No action was required; staff said the contractor remains within budget and the city expects Well 7 to be back in service after lab results confirm acceptable quality. Council acknowledged the update and proceeded to other business.
