The Cumberland County Finance Committee approved a modification to the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) 2024–25 Intermediate Punishment Program grant to reallocate existing funds for treatment and supervision services.

Darby Chrisley, head of adult probation, told the committee the request is a budget modification of an existing grant rather than an increase in total funding. He said the changes will direct grant dollars toward drug and alcohol treatment for restricted-probation clients, salaries and benefits for drug testers, and bus passes for restricted-probation clients.

Chrisley said county staff had consulted with Katie Zimmerman at PCCD and that PCCD agreed with the requested modifications. The committee moved and seconded the approval; the motion carried with all members voting in favor.

The approval covers modifications within the grant parameters so staff can use the award to support treatment and supervision-related expenses. The committee did not specify dollar amounts for each line-item in the meeting record; Chrisley characterized the action as an internal budget reallocation within the existing PCCD award.

The committee did not take additional votes related to this grant at the meeting. County staff will proceed with the agreed modifications and any required administrative reporting to PCCD.
