The Madison Local School District Board of Education on April 17 approved a slate of routine items including its March financial report, a set of personnel contracts and multiple consent-calendar contracts and donations, then voted to move into executive session to discuss personnel matters.

The board accepted the treasurer’s financial statements for the nine months ending March 31, 2025; approved a package of donations to Madison High School and Madison Middle School; issued several employment and continuing contracts; adopted a second reading of routine board-policy updates provided by Neola; and approved a service agreement with the Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve. The board also authorized a contract to rent facilities and catering for Madison High School’s prom at the Lodge and Conference Center at Geneva on the Lake.

Treasurer (unnamed) summarized the March statements, saying the district had received $31,457,097.08 in all funds through March and had spent $29,379,120.97, leaving a reconciled balance of $14,023,085.79. The treasurer told the board those figures represent nine months of the fiscal year that ends June 30.
