The LCI full committee voted to report a resubmitted regulation for the State Board of Cosmetology that clarifies license photograph requirements and allows in-state applicants to grant the department access to use a South Carolina DMV photo.

"This proposed regulation as originally submitted required that all applicants... include a current 2 by 2 photograph to be affixed to the issued license," Rebecca, a committee staff member, said. She described the resubmission as clarifying that the department will provide website guidance for photographs or digital images and will allow applicants to grant permission to obtain an applicant's photograph on file with the SCDMV for in-state residents.

A senator complimented staff's presentation, the motion to report the regulation was seconded and approved by voice vote, and the regulation was reported out favorably.
