On April 30, 2025, the Michigan Senate took first readings of four bills that would amend existing state law and directed each to the relevant standing committee for further consideration.

Senator Hough offered Senate Bill 272 to amend the Condominium Act; the measure was referred to the Committee on Housing and Human Services. Senator Daley offered Senate Bill 273 to amend the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act; that bill was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources and Agriculture. Senator McCann offered Senate Bill 274 to amend the Michigan Memorial Highway Act; it was sent to the Committee on Veterans and Emergency Services. Senator Bellino offered Senate Bill 275 to prohibit municipalities from imposing bans on the use of natural gas or the installation of natural gas infrastructure; the bill was referred to the Committee on Local Government.

All four measures were entered on the journal with their first readings and committee referrals; the record shows no floor debate or amendments at the time of introduction. Further committee action, amendments, and any roll-call votes would be reported in subsequent committee or floor records.
