On April 30, 2025, the Michigan Senate resolved into the Committee of the Whole to consider several calendar items and the committee reported four bills without amendment, advancing them to third reading.
The secretary read calendar items: Senate Bill 240, a bill to amend the Michigan Election Law; Senate Bill 241, a bill to amend the Home Rule Village Act; Senate Bill 242, a bill to amend the General Law Village Act; and Senate Bill 243, a bill to amend the Home Rule City Act. Each was reported by the Committee on Elections and Ethics without amendment and, as recorded, there were no pending amendments. The chair and floor managers stated there was no discussion on the bills, and the measures were placed on the order of third reading of bills.
Senator Daley presided over the Committee of the Whole and the committee's report to the full Senate stated that the bills were recommended to pass. No roll-call votes or floor debate were recorded in this session; the bills will next appear on the Senate calendar for third reading.
