The Knoxville Beer Board approved a revised special-event permit form April 29, 2025, after city counsel said recent code amendments created a new form that the ordinances require the board to approve.

City counsel Mr. Frost summarized the change: “When counsel redid the special event permit, it caused the creation of a new form. The ordinances say if there's a new form, it must be approved by the beer board.” The portion of the form references the applicable code sections.

A board member moved approval. The board approved the form by voice vote; the chair recorded, “Ayes have it.” The new form reflects amendments to Chapter 4, Article 2, Division 2, Sections 4-76 and 4-77 and will be used for future special-event permit applications.
