Town maintenance staff reported multiple ongoing projects at the municipal park, including the recent completion of restroom renovations and planned replacements of ceiling fans and lights in the pavilion.
Jim (staff member) provided the maintenance summary, listing three ceiling fans and seven lights planned for replacement and saying the fixtures should suit the park's historic aesthetic: "So if you could just get us some estimates, we can do it at the Home Depot ... I want the ceiling fans and the lights to be aesthetically to that part." He also described repairs to the shower valve and a repaired swing chain and said he had sprayed for insects around park areas.
Dusty (staff member) gave details on the restroom renovation: "What we did on the bathrooms, we got new bathrooms. We replaced some subfloor. We got all new tile, got new commodes, got all new plumbing, all new electric, got the bathrooms on separate circuits ... Got new mirrors. Used the same sinks, but we got all new faucets. Got new doors. Everything's painted. New lighting." The council discussed purchasing new benches or a picnic table for the gazebo and directed staff to obtain estimates for the lighting and fans. No formal vote or budget appropriation for the pavilion fixtures was recorded in the meeting.
