Platte County commissioners on May 5 approved a request for proposals to solicit banking services for the county for the next four years.

Chris Kendall, county treasurer, said staff had sought to postpone the solicitation for a year but were unable to do so and therefore must issue a request for proposals now. The commission approved sending the RFP; Kendall indicated the process will run to select banking services for a four-year period.

The commission voted 3-0 to approve the RFP. Kendall did not present proposed evaluation criteria or a timetable for selection at the meeting; those details will be developed as part of the solicitation process.
