Lee County staff reported to the Finance Committee that the county’s $6.6 million American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) award is fully obligated and that the last capital obligations — about $101,191.74 — were expended last month.

Patty (ARPA staff) and Sarah gave the committee an update on the required reporting. They said the county submitted its annual Treasury report on April 22 and that Treasury has been making additional information requests; county staff are updating earlier project records to supply dates and details Treasury now wants. Staff also said the Treasury has indicated it is working on a standard closeout report but provided no timetable or detailed requirements.

Patty reminded the committee that ARPA obligations had to be recorded by Dec. 30, 2024, and that Lee County met that deadline. County staff said they will continue to update Treasury’s online reports as additional fields are requested and will notify the board when the federal closeout guidance is released.
