The Green Bay Improvement and Services Committee approved a $95,000 service order with Bernard Schover Associates (BSA) for a predesign and study of the Westside Municipal Garage HVAC system.

Public Works staff said the existing HVAC system is well beyond its service life and the study will produce design documents to support replacement. The contract is an amendment to an existing master agreement with the consultant; staff said funds for the work were allocated through the City’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and the department needs committee and council approval to execute the individual service order under that master agreement.

“The HVAC system over there is as close to original to the building as you can get, and is desperately in need of replacement,” Public Works staff said. The department said Bernard Schover Associates has worked under the master agreement previously and will provide the predesign and design services needed to move the replacement project to construction-ready documents.

Alder Eck moved approval; Alder DeLee seconded the motion. The committee voted in favor and forwarded the recommendation to the common council for final approval.
