Mayor Dylan Rumrill said the City of St. Augustine Beach will host Art Bark in the Park this Saturday at Lakeside Park from noon to 5 p.m., with live music and local arts vendors.
The event will include live music from the Morrow Family Band. “Well, we've been playing as a family, me and my wife and daughter for 9 years,” said Jim Morrow of the Morrow Family Band. The band described its repertoire as a mix of older and contemporary popular songs, which Jim Morrow characterized as “what we do, they call it Americana nowadays.”
Rumrill listed anticipated attractions that will be at the park, including painting, stained glass, jewelry and ceramics booths, and named participating groups and sponsors: Bridal Rescue Groups, Alaya Acres, Florida Power and Light, the Art Studio, Historic Tours of America, Florida Arts and Culture and Embassy Suites. “Man, I'm out of breath, but I will see you Saturday at another great event here in the great city of St. Augustine Beach,” Rumrill said.
The mayor’s brief segment was promotional in nature and did not include formal agenda actions, regulatory discussion or funding decisions. No permits, fees or public-safety advisories were discussed in the remarks.
Residents interested in attending should plan to go to Lakeside Park on the stated Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.; the mayor’s remarks referenced “this Saturday” rather than providing a calendar date.
