The Appleton City Finance Committee voted unanimously to award the Parks and Recreation Facility Renovation Project contract to Blue Sky Contractors LLC for $1,073,103, with an 8% contingency of $85,848, for a total not to exceed $1,158,951. The committee also approved budget amendments moving $86,000 from the 2025 Parks Hardscape capital-improvement program to the renovation project.

Alder Hartzheim noted a strong response from the contracting market for this project, saying eight general contractors and about 50 subcontractors submitted interest, which he described as an indicator the market is softening. No alder opposed the award; the vote passed 5-0.

The action includes the specified contingency and the one-time budget transfer; committee members did not request further study before awarding the contract.
