The Glynn County Board of Commissioners forwarded three nominees to the Coastal (Lehi?) Brunswick Memorial Hospital Authority for its final appointment and filled a vacancy on the Glynn County Board of Elections and Registration by selecting Sandy Dean.

For the hospital authority, commissioners nominated Courtney Popwell, Hank Stewart and Katina Tindall (names transmitted on the record) and moved to forward those nominations to the hospital authority for the authority’s final appointment decision. The hospital authority, not the commission, will make the final selections.

For the Board of Elections and Registration, commissioners considered applicants Sandy Dean and Kathleen Gallagher Duff to serve the unexpired term of Tommy Clark and a new term beginning July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2029. Commissioners conducted separate nomination and voice votes; one nomination for Kathleen Gallagher Duff received three votes (the transcript notes three commissioners voting for Kathleen) but did not meet the four-vote threshold required for appointment. The commission then voted on Sandy Dean and the chair announced Dean had the required votes and was selected.

The appointment fills a local administrative vacancy on an election administration board; the hospital-authority nominations will be delivered to the authority for final action.
