Flagler Beach commissioners voted May 22 to purchase 50 decorative street lamp poles for the Community Redevelopment Agency district, sourcing poles from a single manufacturer identified as the sole available supplier.

City staff said the poles are budgeted for purchase this fiscal year and would be delivered by the end of the fiscal year if approved; installation of poles, fixtures and globes will be included in next year’s proposed budget. The purchase includes replacement of damaged poles in the CRA and the addition of lighting in two parking lots.

Commission discussion confirmed the purchase will match existing styles on A1A and Moody Boulevard, with replacement and limited additions to internal streets and parking lots. The commission approved the purchase by roll call vote 4‑0.
