District staff outlined the annual process for issuing teacher contracts and said the board will see the contracts for approval following educator submissions.

Staff told the board that, per state statute, the district provides contracts to educators by the May 15 deadline. At the time of the meeting staff were presenting the item for initial review; the board was informed that when the contracts come back for approval, they would list the names of educators who intend to return.

The presentation was informational and the board raised no substantive questions. Staff said the contracts would return for formal approval at a future meeting after educators submit their intent to return.
